Display technology

The new connector is universal and will unify Apple’s device lineup. It also supports faster charging and data transfer. The European Union is working on legislation that will make USB-C the standard for charging devices. This will likely require Apple to introduce a USB-C iPhone in Europe, or release a special model for the region. Once that happens, we will see the transition from Lightning to USB-C worldwide.
